Collagraph a short course with Amelia Bowman

Monday 13th and 20th June 9:30am – 2:30pm

Collagraph is my own printmaking technique and area of greatest expertise. This two-day course teaches students how to make a collagraph plate and print with it. The collagraph printmaking technique teaches is about creating line and texture by collaging mixed media on board. Students get to experiment with colour and pattern, light and shade and work with all of the above in the production of a range of prints made using a print press. They will also learn about
my trademark ‘chine-colle’ process and have the chance to try it out as they create a series of prints that they can take away with them. On day one, students will make their collagraph plate, varnishing it and leaving it to dry over night before returning to print with it during the second session.

18+ due to the use of sharp tools.
